Hi Guise! *waves*
My name’s Meghan. I’m 27 and I work at a major insurance company in Small Business and Worker’s Compensation Sales. Hobbies include baking, writing, reality television, hiking, and collecting my favorite movies. Above all of this though, my one true love is reading. Put a book in my hand and if it’s amazing, I’ll have it finished within the day.
My favorite genre is Paranormal Romance. In general, this is a lot more exciting to me than the typical Historicals that I grew up reading. Vampires are in, baby, and they’re H-O-T. Don’t get me wrong though, that’s not all I love. I still enjoy a good historical every now and then and I love ghost stories, particularly those of Heather Graham. History is also one of my favorite subjects, especially those of American History. I just recently purchased 1776 and John Adams. Can’t wait to read those.
My favorite authors are Lynsay Sands and Kerrelyn Sparks, by a long shot. If you love laughing out loud, love stories, and vampires these authors are definitely ones you can sink your teeth into. (See what I did there?)
I just discovered Janet Evanovich’s “Wicked” series and have had a blast reading the first two books in the series. I eagerly anticipate the third. Hm, let’s see. I love trying new authors that I’ve never read before and if I find one I like, you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll be reading most of their titles within the month.
I have a Kindle and it’s quite convenient and was a great buy. But nothing compares to holding a book in your hands, turning each page with a flourish of excitement for what is about to come next. I have quite the collection of books and only recently have decided to keep only those authors/titles that I know I’ll keep coming back to over the years.
Hence, my Bookmooch account: http://bookmooch.com/m/bio/meghanirene. If you’re an avid reader, or even if you just have some books to get rid of, this is a great way to do it. I add books only a few at a time to avoid tons of shipping costs each week. Since I’m doling out information on book websites, check out www.thriftbooks.com, too! For the books that you can’t find on bookmooch, this site is great. About $4.00 for most books and free shipping across the United States. Plus, each book you order from the same warehouse saves you $0.50. You can’t go wrong.
So basically, if you’ve gotten this far, you know I like to read! What will you find on this site? Well, pretty much anything pertaining to books that I’m reading, interested in, or just want to talk about. I’ll post reviews, suggestions, and just random thoughts about books. Best of all, I’m fun, charming and sweet as pie. What more can you ask for?
Pleasefeel free to suggest authors, titles, other blogs and sites about books to me. I’m interested in learning what you like, too!
