“Is your new pack driving you a little crazy? Tired of all those wolves in sheep’s clothing? Let me be your fierce protector.” (From Amazon.com)
Sara is a fairly new shape-shifting wolf on the run from a pack she doesn’t know or care to know. Ramsey is a were-bear who’s big, strong, quiet, and damn sexy. In order to avoid joining their pack, Ramsey agrees to play-act as her mate and protect her as her bodyguard. Of course, one thing leads to another…
What I Thought:
I really enjoyed the first book in the series, Beauty Dates the Beast and couldn’t wait to read this one. I was lucky to have discovered the first book just as this one was scheduled for release. I actually loved the characters of Ramsey and Sara even more so then Bath/Beau from Book 1. Ramsey was continually intriguing me with his actions and I loved discovering him and his personality as the book moved forward. Sara was a great character and even in the first book (before I knew she got her own!) I was constantly aching to know more about her and wishing it was she that I was watching evolve and fall in love.
The plot was a decent one – Sara was turned by a wolf bite from her abusive past boyfriend. Her sister helped her to escape but since then they’ve been on the run trying to avoid the wolf pack chasing after Sara. And of course there’s been nobody there to help Sara, to show her the ways of shapeshifting…and at this point, she’s in pretty bad shape.
Luckily, Ramsey is there to protect her and help her evolve.
Final Review: 4/5.
